Senior engineering role responsible for designing, integrating and maintaining complex DCIS solutions, with technical ownership of assigned operational Nodes throughout their lifecycle.
Main duties
- Translate operational and project requirements into implementable solutions and system architectures.
- Apply Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE), reusing approved modules, services, architectures and engineering patterns, and identifying gaps.
- Perform technical trade-off analyses covering performance, interoperability, security, resilience, deployability, maintainability, cost and schedule.
- Own the architecture, configuration, interfaces and technical evolution of assigned operational Nodes.
- Assess changes, security updates, obsolescence and technology refreshes for their impact on the complete system.
- Maintain Node roadmaps, manage technical debt and lifecycle risks, and keep design, build and operational baselines consistent.
- Integrate contributions across networking, communications, infrastructure, cloud, storage, cybersecurity, identity and automation.
- Lead technical coordination across multidisciplinary teams, resolve conflicting requirements and design decisions, and support operational problem resolution.
Essential requirements
- Relevant university degree in engineering, computer science or a related discipline.
- At least 10 years of relevant professional engineering experience, including significant work with complex, integrated technical systems.
- Experience in systems engineering or solution architecture, plus a senior technical leadership role.
- Strong experience in system architecture, integration, interfaces, dependencies, verification, validation and structured root-cause analysis.
- Experience supporting operational systems and assessing system-level impacts of component or service changes.
- Strong requirements engineering skills, including functional and non-functional requirements, decomposition, interface control, traceability and trade-off analysis.
- Broad technical knowledge across several ICT/CIS domains; expertise in every domain is not required.
- Professional working proficiency in English, including producing and reviewing complex technical documentation.
- Required security clearance: NATO Secret.
