Key Duties & Responsibilities

  • Administer and maintain Linux servers (primarily RHEL environments)
  • Install, configure, and support secure Linux-based infrastructure
  • Implement and maintain system security controls (firewalls, access control, encryption)
  • Develop and use automation and scripting (Python, Ansible)
  • Support virtualized environments (VMware)
  • Contribute to cyber security operations within NATO infrastructure
  • Collaborate with international teams across multiple NATO sites
  • Support system maintenance, updates, and troubleshooting
  • Participate in DevOps-oriented environments and processes

Education Requirements

Working Conditions

  • Location: Mons (SHAPE), Belgium
  • 100% on-site role
  • Normal office hours with:
    • Occasional out-of-hours support
    • Possible on-call for critical incidents
  • Limited travel: ~2 trips/year to Brussels/Braine-l’Alleud
  • Contract: June 2026 – December 2026
  • Total scope: 836 hours (~5–6 months full-time equivalent)
