Duties
- Execute database migration from INTEL-FS SP1 to SP2
- Perform dry-run migration to test end-to-end process
- Refine and optimize migration scripts and parameters
- Prepare and validate full database backups before migration
- Execute live migration with internal teams
- Validate migrated data (record counts, data integrity, field-level checks)
- Identify, log, and resolve data discrepancies
- Perform performance tuning (queries, indexes, configurations)
- Ensure no data loss, corruption, or integrity issues
- Produce and maintain documentation (scripts, configs, reports, logs)
- Deliver structured reports for each phase:
- Dry-run & script refinement
- Backup & validation
- Migration execution
- Post-migration validation
- Final discrepancy resolution & optimization
Requirements
- Proven experience with database migrations (complex/sensitive systems)
- Strong expertise in PostgreSQL and Microsoft SQL Server
- Knowledge of XSLT
- Comfortable working with Linux (command line)
- Strong skills in:
- Data validation and reconciliation
- Troubleshooting and error handling
- Performance tuning and optimization
- Ability to ensure data integrity and accuracy
- Experience delivering in a fixed-price, deliverable-based environment
- Ability to work in multinational teams
- Fluent English
- Valid NATO SECRET clearance
