Digital Infrastructure Engineer (Enterprise Edge Services Section)
Duties & Responsibilities – Digital Infrastructure Engineer (Enterprise Edge Services)
- Implement and administer cyber security policies, configurations, and tools across enterprise infrastructure
- Provide Level 2/3 support for INF051 services, including:
- Secure Web Proxies
- Web Application Firewalls (WAF)
- Email Gateways
- Remote Access VPN
- DNS and DHCP services
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and maintain enterprise edge and security infrastructure services
- Act as CISS representative within the Enterprise Security Operations Centre (ESOC)
- Support incident response, service restoration, and operational continuity activities
- Perform regular maintenance, upgrades, and performance tuning of infrastructure components
- Assist other work centres within NISC with technical support and coordination as required
- Support implementation of Secure Access Service Edge (SASE) architectures and solutions
- Contribute to cloud-based security services, including DDoS protection and secure configurations
- Ensure compliance with NATO security directives, policies, and governance frameworks
- Participate in troubleshooting complex infrastructure and security issues
- Support automation, orchestration, and continuous improvement of infrastructure services
Experience (Essential)
- Proven experience in implementing and maintaining enterprise network infrastructure
- Hands-on experience with:
- DNS / DHCP solutions
- Remote Access VPNs
- Secure Gateways & Proxies
- Firewalls & Load Balancers
- Web Application Firewalls (WAF)
- Intrusion Detection Systems (IDS)
- Experience with Secure Access Service Edge (SASE) implementation and management
- Experience with cloud-based security services, including:
- DDoS protection
- Web Application Firewall solutions
- Secure cloud configurations
- Strong experience in technical troubleshooting and incident resolution
Technical Knowledge
- Solid understanding of:
- Cloud networking architecture and operations
- Cyber security principles and technologies
- Automation and orchestration tools
- Zero Trust Networking concepts
- Public Key Infrastructure (PKI)
- Knowledge of IT security frameworks and governance models
NATO / Environment Experience (Desirable)
- Experience implementing NATO Security Directives
- Knowledge of NATO structure, policies, and responsibilities
- Experience working in international environments (military & civilian)

Other Requirements
- Security Clearance: NATO Secret (mandatory)
- Location: Mons, Belgium (100% on-site)
- Contract Duration: June 2026 – December 2026 (~836 hours)
- Travel: Frequent national TDY within Belgium
