C004672, Integration Security Engineer

Statement of Work / Duties

The Integration Security Engineer, under the direction of C2SS, NCSC, will:

1. Ensure all project activities comply with NATO Security Policy or approved deviations.

2. Support C2SS technical leads in the design and implementation of security infrastructure for centralized security service integration.

3. Assist in producing security accreditation templates and documentation for tasked products.

4. Liaise with NCSC technical teams to troubleshoot centralized security service integration.

5. Where centralized integration is not possible, ensure local site systems and network devices are configured for local security monitoring.

6. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of NATO Security Policy regarding monitoring and security service integration.

7. Participate in stakeholder and technical meetings to ensure proper integration of systems and sites.

8. Stay informed about relevant technological developments.

9. Perform other security-related duties as required.

Qualifications & Experience

Essential

• Education: BSc in a technical subject with substantial IT content from a nationally recognized/certified university.

• Experience:

  • 3 years post-degree related experience, OR

  • Without a degree: at least 5 years of extensive, progressive experience relevant to the post.

• Knowledge & Skills (≥3 years):

  • Security monitoring, PKI, network forensics, network discovery.

  • Network security architecture design.

  • Researching and evaluating security products/technologies.

  • System and network administration (UNIX and Windows).

  • System/network security, authentication protocols, cryptography, application security, malware protection.

  • Risk evaluation and mitigation planning.

  • Technical report writing in English, including executive summaries and remediation plans.

Desirable

• Experience in an international environment with military and civilian components.

• Knowledge of NATO organization, internal structure, and relationships.
