Role Overview

We are seeking a Cyber Security Engineer to support security accreditation activities for NATO CIS systems. Working under the Head of CIS Planning and Implementation Authority Team (CTO), you will provide security architecture guidance, conduct risk assessments, and manage accreditation documentation throughout the full system lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

• Contribute to secure solution architecture aligned with NATO security directives

• Perform security risk assessments and identify threats, vulnerabilities, and residual risks

• Recommend mitigation measures and alternative security solutions

• Define, manage, and prioritise security accreditation requirements

• Develop and manage accreditation documentation (e.g. Security Accreditation Plan, Risk Assessment Report, Security Requirements, SOPs, STVP)

• Support and witness security testing; coordinate remediation with relevant authorities

• Provide security accreditation advice to project and system managers

• Liaise with Security Accreditation Authorities, Boards, and NATO stakeholders

• Represent the Agency on accreditation matters

Requirements

Education & Certifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline with minimum 2 years’ related experience
  (or 6 years of relevant professional experience in lieu of degree)

• Relevant certifications such as CISSP and/or CISA are desirable

Experience & Knowledge

• Minimum 2 years’ experience in security accreditation of large CIS projects

• Experience with security risk assessment methodologies and tools

• Experience in planning, designing, and implementing security components of major CIS

• Knowledge of NATO Security Policy and supporting directives

• Experience working in international, military/civilian environments

• Understanding of NATO structures (ACO, ACT) is an asset

Other Requirements

• NATO Secret clearance (mandatory)

• Based in Brussels (on-site with limited remote work)
