Position Details

Primary Duties

Under the supervision of the Digital Events Manager, the incumbent will:

  • Set up and manage AV systems for digital meetings/events (equipment, streaming, and recording).

  • Create and implement detailed AV plans in coordination with clients.

  • Operate and manage a mobile streaming studio, including videowalls and greenscreens.

  • Develop technical plans and "Run of Show" documentation for large digital/hybrid events.

  • Lead and supervise AV technical teams during live events.

  • Configure and operate PTZ cameras using NDI protocol.

  • Design digital content: jingles, banners, and signage for events.

  • Provide first-line support for issues with conferencing systems (scheduling, video bridging, recording, etc.).

  • Monitor and troubleshoot AV/VTC infrastructure and services.

  • Deputize for senior staff when required.

  • Perform other related duties as assigned.


Qualifications & Experience

Education:

  • Higher education/training in Telecommunications, Electronics, Electrical, or Computer Engineering.

Professional Experience:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in AV operations, especially in:

    • Sound mixing for live events/TV.

    • Operating PTZ cameras (NDI).

    • Video production systems: vMix, Blackmagic.

    • Streaming via platforms like Webex, Microsoft Teams, Skype.

    • Leading AV teams in hybrid/digital settings.

Technical Skills:

  • Configuration/troubleshooting of collaboration systems (e.g., Poly RMX, Cisco, Poly DMA, Poly RPRM).

  • Competence in managing digital event production workflows.

Additional Knowledge:

  • Experience in international environments with military/civilian elements.

  • Understanding of NATO operations and organizational structure (ACO, ACT).


Language Requirements

  • Full fluency (spoken and written) in English (one of NATO’s official languages).

  • Some knowledge of the second NATO language (French) is desirable.


Working Conditions

  • Environment: Office and secure facilities (some underground).

  • Schedule: May include shift work and extended hours.

  • Travel: Frequent travel to NATO and partner sites; possible travel to operational areas both within and outside NATO boundaries.
