2025-0127, 2025-0013  - Provision of CIS network administration (LAN) Services

DUTIES

The contractor will be responsible for delivering CIS Network Administration (LAN) Services on-site in Bydgoszcz, Poland. Primary duties include:

1. Incident Resolution

  • Timely resolution of incidents in line with SLA.

  • Root cause analysis to reduce recurring issues.

2. Network Administration

  • Day-to-day management of LAN hardware and software.

  • Ensure functionality of locally installed COTS hardware.

3. Troubleshooting

  • Lead technical troubleshooting efforts.

  • Provide guidance to team members.

4. Documentation

  • Maintain accurate network configurations and technical documentation.

  • Document cable plant, interconnections, staff roles, etc.

5. Reporting & Proposals

  • Provide improvement reports and configuration control data.

  • Support Section Head with recommendations and technical input.

6. Preventive Maintenance

  • Execute preventive maintenance plans.

7. Configuration & Asset Management

  • Adhere to NATO asset/configuration policies.

  • Maintain accurate inventories of network assets.

8. Meetings & Coordination

  • Participate in sprint planning and retrospectives.

  • Coordinate with other teams and follow NATO processes.


REQUIREMENTS

Security Clearance

  • NATO SECRET clearance required.

General Requirements

  • Professional, courteous, and able to communicate effectively in English (standard 3333).

  • Capable of handling and operating NATO-furnished equipment responsibly.

  • Must report to and receive direction from designated NATO personnel.

Qualifications

  • Education:

    • Higher vocational training 3 years post-related experience, OR

    • Secondary education 5 years post-related experience.

  • Technical Skills:

    • Experience in LAN, WAN, Wi-Fi technologies.

    • Proficient with network tools, statistics, and performance monitoring.

    • Solid understanding of Layer 2 (Ethernet, VLANs, STP) and Layer 3 (IP, OSPF, MPLS).

    • Familiarity with protocols: DNS, DHCP, QoS, SNMP, VPN, AD, VRRP.

    • Hands-on with Cisco, HP, Juniper devices.

    • Cabling standards and wireless network deployment experience.

  • Certifications (preferred/required):

    • CISCO (CCNA) certification.

    • ITIL Foundation certification.

  • Additional Experience:

    • Windows Server administration, Active Directory, MS Exchange.

    • VMware and virtualization platforms.

  • Performance Period:

    • Base Year: 26 May 2025 – 31 Dec 2025 (up to 8 sprints)

    • Option Years: 2026, 2027, 2028 (each with up to 12 sprints)

  • Sprint-Based Model:
    Each sprint = ~1 month of work, with tasks defined during sprint planning.

  • Working Hours:

    • Monday to Friday, 07:30–15:30.

    • Some weekend support (max 10 days/year).
